It should go without saying (but I’m saying it anyway) that ANY carb needs to be jetted correctly no matter what. People often say that a DP uses more gas, but that is ONLY true if it is not properly jetted. It may well be true that most come out of the box jetted too rich for most applications. But it’s the owner’s fault if he just accepts that state of affairs. It’s a matter of a moment to change to smaller, appropriately sized jets.
