We are focusing on the ADA Pantera 2022 race season, and are considering
the replacement of the present manual 5 speed gearbox by a 6 speed
sequential gearbox.
The ADA Pantera successfully ran a Hewland-March 6 speed sequential gearbox
starting from 1995, in the famous BPR series.
Those ( modified ) gearboxes are not only very expensive, but barely
impossible to find.
SADEV , the French manufacturer offers a possible solution too.
It was recently brought to my attention that a Porsche PDK double clutch 7
speed could be a possible solution too.

Did you know that the Porsche 956 and 962 were used as test labs for the
development of the PDK to be .... ! That was just before the ADA car came
to Le Mans 24 hours in 1994.
Presently, the ADA car successfully races a Porsche G50 manual gearbox, and
is equipped with a magnesium bellhousing and a Porsche clutch.
The combination has been made by Renegade Hybrids in Las Vegas, and is
giving full satisfaction so far.
Has anyone in the forum ever experienced the famous Porsche PDK gearbox on
a Pantera ?
I assume these can be found in a Porsche scrap yard, coming from a Panamera
or the same . ADA is 600 HP.... so a Boxster gearbox will probably not do
the job.
I feel that a sequential gearbox in Spa would help lowering the lap time by
at least 2 or 3 seconds !
Thank you
Patrick
