Mike,

Perhaps there are early and late versions of the steering column U-joints, but this is the only style I am familiar with and it doesn’t have any of the clips you are mentioning

Can you clarify this for me?

I replaced all of my shift linkage U joints with items from flaming River, they also will work on the steering shaft.
