[DeTomaso] Has anyone used a PWM control like this for the heater/AC fan

Ken,

Yup.  I added one of those, also from eBay, when I upgraded to the newer three speed fan. I wired the controller to the high speed, leaving the other two fan motor leads unused. I used a gutted switch bezel to mount the potentiometer. There was some trickle current flowing through the controller which activated the “heater” indicator light so I ran the power feed through the fourth unused console switch.
