Something I thought about last night sleeping.

If you push air into an engine at 150 or so pounds then inject fuel into the cylinder at the top of piston up cycle you then have a two cycle motor. More efficient than 4 cycle.
You would need a compressor to generate the air for less energy than the extra cost for a four cycle motor.
