Cibie Z-beams are what I have in all my cars and I love them.
Relays are really necessary if you are to avoid sizzling your headlight switch due to the increased current draw.
I got mine from here:

I have heard people criticize their quality, but I’m calling BS on that. I have recently purchased a replacement light (picked up a stone and shattered a lens) and the new ones were great. I think this company has an exclusive distributorship so there may be some sour grapes involved with the critiques.
Having said all that, the new thing is LED lights. Some might be great, most are cheap Chinese junk and are reportedly terrible. So shop cautiously. Good LED lights are probably superior to Halogens, plus require no rewiring. But most are grossly i fervor, apparently….

them at stock wattage 55/65. They have a nice pattern and sharp cut
off, that is, they don't throw light up high when on low beams. You
get a nice penetrating pattern on high beam. I like them on my car.
H-4's also give you the opportunity to up-grade to higher wattage
bulbs
by simply changing out the bulb not the entire housing. You can get
55/100 watt bulbs (and several other options) for a really
penetrating
HI HI beam! Yes, you would need a relay on the high circuit for
that
bulb and probably use a ceramic electrical connector. I have not
tried
the 100 watt highs on my car.
