[DeTomaso] Body Service Number Plate

Wow! I didn't know that that was an unusual location. You are correct, it is very close to #4028. (slightly under.) It is also unusual in that the original color is that uber rare lite metalic greenish/silverish color that I have only seen on (is it Marcus Wohler's?) car, and Bob Richards from the San Diago Chapter.

That is pretty unusual. The vast majority were mounted like this:

[cid:0da5a2fe-e3aa-4fe3-88af-4286782dbf60 at namprd02.prod.outlook.com]

The earliest known car with a BSN is #4028, and it has its BSN plate mounted on the side (like yours presumably):

[cid:b525e1b9-bdae-445d-8fca-3fdb3692d23d at namprd02.prod.outlook.com]

So I assume your (James) car is fairly near #4028?  This is the only one I’ve personally ever seen with a side-mounted BSN so there can’t have been many before they switched to the conventional location?
