All,

I have spent hours researching steering wheel splined hubs and hub adapters.

The Capri/Pantera steering column is an oddball size that AFAIK is unique to our cars. Many Mazda vehicles have the same diameter and spline count, but the taper and thickness of the splined hub adapters sold for this type of Mazda are not a correct fit for our cars. This I know from first-hand testing.

Grant at one time produced a basic splined hub for our cars but it is out of production and very seldom seen on eBay.

The owner of the capri specialist, teamblitz, has tooled a correct splined hub for the Capri, but when I spoke with him many months ago he was only interested in selling it along with a steering wheel purchase.

Building off of the proprietary three hole mounting system used by Grant, there are aftermarket adapters, quick releases and spacers to mount just about any wheel you can think of.

The problem for our cars is finding that splined hub to build from.
