A very apt analogy for these auction venues where alcohol is lavishly plied would be "beauty is in the eye of the beer holder", but after being saved by the reserve, to then sober up and go back and negotiate a price takes blind courage...... maybe a Tony fan had to have it to go with the big gold medallion and no button open shirt!
