[DeTomaso] VIN

Thanks everyone.  It’s a ’73 which is an “N.”  The guy sent me a copy of the tag and it’s definitely an “N” that looks a lot like an “X.”  The second letter is an “M” making the car a March ’73 car.  The same tag says 5/73, but the second letter is not an “N.”  Just another typical discrepancy in De Tomaso documentation…

Neither the orange Ford book or the black Detomaso parts books list a X or V in their build codes. 

 

5/73 is shown to be NB
