       I contacted the seller and he said:

       the VIN. We don't give out VIN numbers to everyone. We've had them
       counterfeited in the past and end up on other cars out of state.

       I told him that he made it look like a Nigerian scammer ad.
       It's apparently a dealership so it's probably legit. I would approach
       them via their dealership rather than ebay if I was shopping though.
