[DeTomaso] Car just quits

Fred,What is the idle speed set at?I would not expect a car with a carb to restart without giving it a little gas, so that means nothing.
Try increasing the idle speed a little and the problem might go away;

  occasions, I pulled off the highway and the car just died at the stop
  sign. I waited a minute, cranked it without using the gas pedal.
  Nothing.  Stepped on the accelerator  and it started. After that, no
