Hmmm? I agree eBay is probably not a good venue for Classic or High End vehicles.

I've bought both my cars (Xterra and Jeep Wrangler) on eBay without one problem and
110% happy deals and outstanding vehicles. A person (buyer) does have to be smart, and
if not, they will be burned. But then, that would happen anyway.

I have NO idea what "nanny programs" are, or what "over-the-wall" refers to. A person puts
things up for sale and describes it well. When it sells, you ship it out. Not hard to do. And
eBay protects you. True story: eBay made a refund of $2,200. immediately when a guitar I sold
was stolen off a Fed-X truck. IMMEDIATTLY!

    Seconding Mikes opinion, Larry
BAT actually manages the sale process.
Completely different from eBay where you throw your stuff in - over the
    wall,
and you only hear from them if you manage to piss off their automated
    nanny programs.
Many high-roller dealers move their excess trade-in inventory on BAT.

You wrote the ad copy and they edit it, and build the auction for you. You get to check the draft and give final approval before it goes live. They also work with you to establish a realistic reserve. If you think your reserve should be objectively too high they will refuse it. In my case their analysis was spot on.

BaT received nothing from this because the sale happened outside their auction, even though they facilitated the sale.
