[DeTomaso] oil leak

Steven, I hate to even suggest this as a possible cause for your oil leak...
Early Fontana blocks had a problem with cracking around the engine mounts.
Later Fontana blocks had reinforcing ribs cast into the block that
eliminated this problem. The ribs are large enough that Pantera engine
mounts won't bolt-on without some grinding/machine work, so they clear the
ribs. I've never heard of the cracking occurring in a street driven
application though.
