Assuming the tank is still structurally strong and what you have are only pinholes, BONDO works fine to seal up small holes and is permanently fuel-proof- event to the witch's brew California sell as 'gas' these days. Mine has been sealed this way since the '80s. But the tank needs to be dry in the repair area first, so drain it below the leak area(s), clean it off with alcohol & wipe dry, then mud the hole(s) up.

If your leak is in the filler neck area and you have an L model, use fuel=proof hose to hook up the outside filler. Plain radiator hose will leak again within weeks. There's a gasket between the filler spout & tank, and another one below the air vent dome which is riveted on. If its leaking there, drill out the rivets- the tank holes are threaded- and use metric screws to hold the tank vent on with a fresh gasket.

Once the rivet heads are off & the dome is lifted off, use tape inserted thru the dome hole to catch the ends of the rivets before punching the ends out. Incidentally, the dome is removed the same way to use Hall's cheap anti-rollover vent for safety. All this is extremely easy if the rear quarter window is out for tank top access. God luck-
