[DeTomaso] Advantages of CV Half Shafts?

Thomas,

FWIW I know a few people who have had CV joint boots fail, flinging LOTS of grease around. Nobody seemed to know why, but vendors have stood up, and supplied free replacement boots which then seem to have held up. I’m aware of a number of first-time failures but only one repeat failure.....

And I think there is no argument that overall the CV joint solution is far superior. The only real question is whether or not it’s superior enough to justify the expense. More and more people are starting to believe it is.

I have yet to apply the requisite crowbar to my own wallet, but I suspect it’s only a matter of time....
