Marshall,
All early Panteras came from the factory with De Tomaso plaques glued to the standard Ford valve covers—including yours.
At some point in L-Model production when the bloom had gone off the rose on the De Tomaso-Ford romance, they stopped using them, so later L-models got plain valve covers.
Do t just believe me. Open a boo, like the Brooklamds books which have period magazine road tests. They are sometimes difficult to see, it they are definitely there.
They are also illustrated in section 60, illustration 1 of the orange cover Ford factory parts book.
