Okay.... I stand corrected! My push button nor my 74 ever had them and I have never seen them on another car. Do you think perhaps these were a dealer applied trim piece like the rear view mirrors?. Maybe not for the last (’73-’74) cars (they figured out by then it was pointless…My Longchamp had them as well.
