[DeTomaso] spring spacer

That's what crossed my mind, then I looked at the springs, comparative wire diameter and number of coils etc. and concluded that the annotations were probably not spring rate pounds.

Yes, it is.

The annotations on the photo would suggest you have mismatched springs for some reason?
