Hi Mike,

I debated, like you, over flush mount vs. the original style.  It looks
okay if you remove all of the other trim, but then it looks too much like
an 80¹s Corvette or even a kit car.

If you just do the windshield, it looks out of place.

I¹m really glad I stuck with the original. I got a new one from Wilkinson,
and it fits great.
