It's usually a function of wear or slight misalignment on the window channels creating increased load on the wimpy stock motor. Try this: loosen the bolt holding the bottom of each window channel, and then wind the window up with the switch and watch which way the channel moves. Its tedious, but then you try shimming the bottom of one or both window channels- in two planes- and see if taking some load off by shimming increases the speed when the channel is bolted down.
The second method - used by those who were unable to find a 'sweet spot' for their channels- is to use a more powerful window motor. The aftermarket system once sold by Ted Mitchell (Vader Enterprises) completely fixes this problem, but people complained about the high cost so Ted stopped making them, Now he's passed on.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Help-Window slow to up!!!
Folks,
Window goes down no problem, I detached the wires to the motor and
wired up a small 12 volt motor to see if its my switch or motor. The
new "test" motor whirled great on the down but very slow on the up.
Can I assume Switch? I understand the difference from up/down is
polarity in the switch? Can the window switch be dissembled and the
contact cleaned? If not--Best place to get another switch? Also what
grease should I grease rails, mechanism,etc.. inside door. Thanks
!!
