[DeTomaso] Replacement Seats

Hey Rob,

I have early stock seats in my ’71, and just spent a week in late (’74 GTS) stock seats (1,700 miles actually). BOTH are radically improved by two simple things. I have elongated the seat-back tabs to enable a few more degrees of recline, which has helps a lot. The other thing was (for extended journeys — like 7-hours straight of driving), I have a small lumbar pillow that I use. When not needed, it tucks nicely and discretely behind the seat. And, finally, my ’74 has original seats that were modified and leather-covered by Sergio (Orange County Upholstery) in LA, and they are MUCH more comfortable (and better-looking) than the stock seats, only requiring the tab-elongation mod.
