[DeTomaso] FW: Pantera Question for you guys. - timing marks

I just found TDC with a dial indicator (could use a cheap stopper tool that threads in the sparkplug hole) and used a sharpie marker to mark the flywheel to bell housing at TDC in inspection cover area. Then just use a timing light that you can dial in degrees of delay or advance (very inexpensive these days). That method worked very well for me over the last 15years.

Can the flywheel be marked with it out so it will line up with the bell
housing window, So I could tell engine builder to have it marked?

(I am not familiar even if the flywheel has to indexed to the crank)

I just found TDC with a dial indicator (could use a cheap stopper tool
that threads in the sparkplug hole) and used a sharpie marker to mark
the flywheel to bell housing at TDC in inspection cover area. Then just
use a timing light that you can dial in degrees of delay or advance
(very inexpensive these days). That method worked very well for me
   over the last 15years.
