I like the idea of marking the flywheel and bell housing as others have done.
Iv'e found the TDC finding tools, be it a dial gauge or spring loaded device screwed into the spark plug hole are difficult to use if the spark plug is not nearly perpendicular to the top of the piston like a hemi-head. For those that have done this on the 351c, did you have difficulty getting the device to not bind?

Can the flywheel be marked with it out so it will line up with the bell
housing window, So I could tell engine builder to have it marked?
(I am not familiar even if the flywheel has to indexed to the crank)

Very true. No Fords had timing marks on the flywheel. It would be
impossible to see on anything but a Pantera.
