Yeah, I saw another video of you taxiing. I noticed a guy sticking up through a roof hatch. I guess he’s keeping track of your wings while you’re moving around on the ground. Massive! 😎

Thanks Mike, this looks like the one on a photo I received from a Swedish owner.

Apparently the mounting bracket is different between early and later cars. My alternator is not mounted to the A/C bracket as it is on his car. Tomas Gunnarsson confirmed this.

I’ll check with Stéphane.

Several POCA members stopped by over the week I was there including
Gerry Romack, which was really cool. They got the VIP treatment and got
to bypass the 2+ hour line to tour the cockpit/flight deck.
I'm home now and got to look at the alternator in question.

     Thomas,

Stephane Bergeron uses alternators from DB Electric. They normally
come with a serpentine belt pulley but they custom make them with a
V-groove pulley for him. I have one for him sitting at home that I
can look at when I get back from Oshkosh.

I know others have done this and I would like to know what
     model/application they've used.

The Bosch alternator in my car has obviously been replaced at some
time before I got the car, as it is a 90A VW/Audi unit. The original
engine is Australian, with a Bosch/Motorcraft distributor, and I
guess it may have come with a Bosch alt originally.

The mounts are spaced about 120 degrees and the pictures I've seen
of 3G units seems to be either 180 or less than 90 degrees so I'm
     not sure what would fit.

     Cheers,

     Thomas
