[DeTomaso] Engine gaskets

Been there, done that, and uh... no.  In my experience, you need to get 
the crank loose.  However, others have testified before, they are able 
to get the two-piece rubber seal with steel wire in place without taking 
the crank loose.  But you still have to take off the oil pan.

For my last rebuild, I used a different oil pan gasket that was 
supposedly a "crush-proof."  I've gone looking for the manufacturer and 
part number.... and can't find it now.  Which is bad, because I need to 
do a rebuild this winter on another engine. <sigh>
