[DeTomaso] Fuel tank close to header

All,

I have just such a setup on my Pantera that I pieced together myself--it cost $400 20 years ago!!! And it is extravagant overkill.

The stock setup is a flex hose from tank to pump, and hard line from pump to (close to) carb, and a short length of hose between hard line and carb.

Other than cutting the hard line and incorporating a METAL fuel filter, this is what I would recommend today.

If you have the original rubber fuel hose from tank to pump, you're wrong--that should definitely be replaced with a braided steel (either rubber or Teflon) hose. And the short hose connecting fuel line to carb should be new-ish rubber at a minimum....
