[DeTomaso] Crane Ignition Systems

I have been running this ignition combination for about 10 years. Up to
this point, no issues. Then one day, no spark. The ignition module LED
illuminates when I turn the ignition switch on so I know it's getting
power. When you crank the engine, the LED should blink to indicate it's
getting a trigger signal. It does not. That would lead you to believe
that the distributor optical switch is bad and not making and breaking the
connection. I cannot verify this. I replaced the distributor with an MSD
unit I had that uses a reluctor wheel instead of an optical trigger and
still no blinking LED on the box and no spark. Does anyone know how to
troubleshoot the distributor to determine if the optical module is good?
How about troubleshooting the HI-6 box?
Thanks again
