I've seen Bob Hoover's air show act flying his Shrike Commander four times and the word 'thrilling' didn't come close to describing what he could do in a heavy twin turbo prop.
He truly could be the finest pilot ever. RIP Bob Hoover and thanks for thrills.

    I have a vague recollection that the
 government was going to pull his
    pilots license in the 70s due to age, and
 Chuck Yeager got involved and
    pointed out that Hoover was still a great
 pilot.
