Subject: [DeTomaso] NPC:Flooded cars.

The shop that sells my stuff in Florida has a DB-9 roadster that they
were called to pick-up the day after Matthew went by.
It's pretty much **aluminum and carbon fiber** and it had salt water
about 6" deep in the interior.

They were asking me(??) what I thought they needed to do, so I told them

- pull everything soft (that got wet) out of the interior and wash it.
- hand wash the interior
- pull the fender liners and power wash everything from the bottom.
- pull out any electrical module that got wet and any harness where the
connectors got wet
and put them in a pile to be replaced
- do all that RIGHT AWAY and then find somebody who knows something

Anybody have experience with salt water and aluminum cars?
I suspect that the poor thing should just be shot - but it's beautiful.

Dave
