The racing event was also important for a number of members who went and
watched the racing and enjoyed walking the pit area. The Lone Star Fun
Rally was a good example of coordinating the fun rally dates with a track
event run by a third party with less onerous requirements than getting an
SCCA license.

Its financially infeasible and not prudent for the majority of
membership to subsidize a track event benefiting a very small
portion of the membership. Track costs and insurance makes it cost
prohibitive. Individual racers can get with the SCCA and race that
     weekend.
This will be a great event not to be missed.
