I hadn't thought of that, but also based on performance of the current bulb
it's a non-issue. They aren't SO bright that I'd want to dim them, are
they?

you realize the LEDs will not "dim" proper with just the original
     rheostat
reducing their voltage, you would need an LED dimmer to pulse the
     voltage.

I only used one per gauge for the lights on function, however I can
   highly
recommend them. I went with virtually no speedo and tach (other gauges
switched for VDO) visibility at night for years as the incandescent
   bulbs
did squat and LED's were only marginally better.A These provide a
   bright
   crisp light.

   How many
bulbs in the speedo/tach Hi all I'm at work and in kind of a hurry for
   the
answer... If I would like Santa to bring me some shiny, new LED lamps
   for
the speedometer and tachometer, how many do I need per gauge?
2 per gauge, right? Hard to tell from the Pantera Electronics photo,
   since
it looks like they are also replacing some of the warning lights in the
speedometer. All I'm looking to do is to be able to see the gauges at
   night.
   Thank you!
