The problem with "give it all a chance" is that, based on my  experience, 
once the forum is converted it will never come back.
 
I think the sequence has been:
1. We will host it for you.
2. We will "modernize" it for you.
3. You will love it ..... strawberries and cream even if you don't like, or 
 need, strawberries and cream.
 
I am not a reactionary and I normally don't get involved in these sorts of  
issues, but I think it is far, far  better to improve what already works  
than to scrap a format which is quite time efficient and has been in  use for 
many, many years.
 
I think the fact that this is going to happen whether the present  forum 
members like it or not says it all.
