[DeTomaso] fuel line story

Is there a possibility here folks are just going out and buying generic 'steel braided hose' as opposed to 'steel braided fuel lines' with liners specific for fuel compatability?

The only fuel line I have EVER had fail was steel braided.

I use cheap polyamide high pressure lines, just like the OEM manufacturers do. No problems in the 14 or so years I've had the EFI installed.
