Fascinating. Using the safari web browser and the webmail version of aol, I WAS able to view the images in kirby's original email, but the subsequent replies which included the original email only showed links.
Weird!
I still maintain that attaching images that you select from a folder on the device (such as the photos folder on an IPad,where I happen to have a photo of Colin Bradshaw's GT5-S) is the best way to go.....

Mike maybe try loading the AOL mail app on your iPhone if there is one or use the Safari web browser to see if you can then see the images.

No wonder. You're doing it wrong. You are trying to access photos from an app (imaginary) source.
Put the photos in a folder on your hard drive somewhere. Size them so they are 300-400kb. Create a new message and attach them. Don't rely on stupid apps which just get in between you and your data....
