[DeTomaso] Wiper parking

It's not so much keeping the water moving; the Gr 3 airfoils keep the wipers from rising up away from the glass at higher road speeds. This was a problem when driving over about 125mph in the rain. Reportedly the airfoils press the wipers down so they work fine at 150 in rain. I don't personally know this but I know some racers.... Cheers- J DeRyke
Do they work? (up to what speed do they keep the wipers moving water?)

The
'airfoils' are U.S copies of Gr-3 parts DeTomaso offered in '73, in

Many of the Euro Gr-3s have them. Hall Pantera used to offer
them, and they
are easy to fab up from aircraft aluminum or ss. They
simply clip on
tightly. Several arms available in various lengths to
fit std OD wiper
posts.
..... I need to acquire a set of silver arms and have seen a couple
of them
with built in airfoils, probably impossible to find, but if anybody
has
a pair, I may have something cool to trade.

I was refinishing my
black wiper arms tonight and I became curious. I
knew I could count on you
guys for the answer. It's this kind of Stuff
that could be included in a
massive database before all of our gurus
move on, which I'm sure it is
already, but which one? I need to acquire
a set of silver arms and have seen
