It's worth doing, Terry. It's a photo ID and works anyplace that requires that kind of ID. Got mine at a local Air Force base many yrs ago even though it was for Navy service, so you don't need to search out the 'right place'. My paper records are too confusing. I have 5 Official U.S. Discharges & DD-214s due to enlistments that ran out in Europe when the Company clerk didn't notice they would expire during deployments. By the time all the paperwork caught up each time, the Records Bureau sent out a Discharge Certificate! I think the card got me out of a couple of speeding tickets when i 'accidently' handed it to a cop instead of a driver's license.

I ask everywhere I go. Why not?
You just have to be able to prove veteran status. Either a military
ID or perhaps a VA ID card is all it takes.
Mike (and almost all airport restaurants and stores give an airline
discount too--I'm all about the discount!)
