Hi Mikael,
This email list was started by Shane Ingate back in 1996 (or so)/and was open to all DeTomaso enthusiasts. No membership required, no dues and ownership was not a prerequisite. At the time, the email forum software was being hosted on a private server. It had zero association with POCA other than some POCA members were part of the list.
The server hosting and ownership changed a few times before the latest transfer. That latest transfer came about through an agreement with POCA that it could be hosted on the POCA server, but that the list itself remain open to anyone and everyone that wished to join and talk about DeTomaso automobiles AND that it never required membership in POCA.
It started as a non-POCA email list and it's supposed to remain that way.

The definition of a club is that members pay money and get benefits that nonmembers don't get. Like magazines, forum/mail list, discounts, events, help and advice. So dear candidates, what will you work on that benefits ME, a paying member? I get most of what I listed above, but I can't buy apparel since we've moved away from cheques decades ago, and am I right in understanding that several non-members use this mail list? If they don't pay, they should be locked out. Members only.

Forest,
But did you get two of them, one for yourself and one for your
associate? Or did your associate get one of her own? Or does the single
survey afford the opportunity for both parties to vote on a single
ballot?
I haven't been able to look at mine yet although I did receive
it...just wondering what to expect.
