Subject: My thoughts about Michael Shortt for POCA president

The POCA elections are heating up.

It seems that many of us humans are either "Doers" or "Dreamers!" And, man, do we need lots of each. People who can think of new things that need to be done to either make things easier or better (must be the Dreamers); and the people who can take these dreams and actually put them into motion (the Doers). Then sometimes a person is a "Doer/Dreamer" - they not only think of a better way, but they make it happen. Michael Shortt is that person!

My wife and I went on the first East Coast Rally a couple of years ago, that Michael created, organized, and lead. Lots of work. It was a fun experience that went off without a hitch.

One of his ideas for POCA is to get more folks involved - the many Pantera owners who are not affiliated with, or maybe not even knowledgable about POCA. Also, making the Pantera a known "sports car" - how many times have you been asked, "What's that car? A Lamborghini? Porsche?"

With the appreciation of the value of Panteras in the past year - have they doubled in price? - I am anxiously waiting to see what this new awareness of our cars with the general public will have on us. One of Michael's hats is movie/video producer. Is there a Pantera "Route 66" in the future. Dream it - do it!

And, he has organized a large section of the Pantera community in the east into a new chapter. I can hardly wait to see what this chapter does, creating excitement with rallys, events, and, my favorite: "Hey, let's try this!" attitude.

He has gotten a discount with auto insurance for our Panteras.

Combining his list of ideas for enhancing our car experience, with his energy level - he will make an excellent president for POCA.
