I have had several of the ford short water pumps
If it is the one with the sheetmetal impeller you better
not rev your motor too high. I have a baby 7000 rpm pill
In my msd ignition and sheared two of the impellers off
Knew one other Pantera owner who did the same and talked 
to three kit gt40 owners with the same results.  I now run a flow
Cooler in my Windsor.   The ford hot rod shorty is junk if you ask
me
