Rumor is that THIS Ford GT is going to be well under 3,000 pounds with no amenities...a race car that has been converted/homologated for street use (like the original GT40)
So its a hp/weight thing and (I've heard) complying/optimized for 2016 Le Mans rules.

So the 3.5 V6 ecoboost  first debuted in a ford pick up truck years ago,
look at it now.
So the obvious question for us, will it fit in a Pantera?
If these Ford GTs are bought by the same Drs and Dentists as the last one,
1/3 of them will be crashed / totaled in the first two years, those motors
have to go somewhere.
