[DeTomaso] Why you should always DRIVE your Pantera somewhere!

Had always heard the fruit and nuts but not flakes altho after 32 years there we know it is all too true.

Currently I would not want to be around San Diego with the fires; wouldn't be able to breathe! Even in the no-smoking areas you still have the CA smog; nice to not have that here (Carson Valley) except when the CA fires are too close and smoke blows over the Sierras.

Even the people from California aren't from California (if you know
   what I mean).
MI -> NJ -> CA. Migration path. My father used to say, "California
is like a bowl or cereal,
what ain't fruit or nuts, is flakes!" <jokingly of course> ;-)
I love Sandy Eggo. Perfect weather, no snow, no humidity, no bugs.
   People are really nice.
Now, if we could only get rid of the arsonists!! Grrr.

I'm in agreement with Mr. Casey on this one. Normally I wouldn't have
   said
anything however I have noticed a bit of elitism with some Pantera
   owners on
this site. I myself attempted to correct a repeated math error on a
frequently distributed email from this site only to be dismissed (in
writing) as though I had no idea what I was talking about. I am a
   relatively
new Pantera owner and the knowledge and experience shared on this site
   is
very impressive and I look forward to meeting more owners in the
   future,
although I wonder if some one may think I'm another "fool" from CA if I
   ask
   the wrong question?

Some people have more money then sense and some people time is worth
   more
then money. I remember going to Bike week in Daytona ( while living in
Virginia Beach) and I really wanted to go to bike week, I didn't want
   to go
without my bike (seemed a little pointless) and I couldn't get the time
   off
necessary to ride to Datoyna. So the only alternatives were to ship my
   bike
or quit my job! California is a large state so depending on how far
   from
San Diego this individual lives from San Diego I can understand why he
might need to ship his car. It doesn't mean he doesn't drive it. It may
   be
his only alternative if he wants to attend (which he apparently does).
   I
would say it's not really any of our business. Everyone should be able
   to
enjoy their Pantera as they see fit. At least he is interested in
   attending
and having his Pantera there! Many people are forced by circumstances
   to
attend and leave their Pantera at home and others aren't even able to
attend sans Pantera. So instead of finding fault and criticising ones
choices as far as getting their Panteras to San Diego we should salute
   and
encourage all those who attend no matter how they get there. JMHO.
