[DeTomaso] Have you checked your ZF juice lately?

There are "Nooks 'n Crannys" (Like a good English muffin)
in the ZF where oil may not quickly drain from, that could account for 1/2 liter.

How long did you let it drain?

some of the internal baffling.  
(The shown piece is actually on top in the Pantera orientation, so has no effect on drainage.)

No, I'm not saying that. Maybe I should be more clear. 

I drained the ZF.
I put the plug back in. 
I filled the ZF with new oil
I poured the old oil in the new oil bottles, and found that I only filled
2,5 bottles, indicating that I only had 2,5 liters of oil in there before
