[DeTomaso] Thermostat restrictor plate 351 C

Just as a side issue, someone mentioned a while back (a few years?) about how the passages in the front of the block were not a real good match to the passages in the timing cover.  That was definitely the case for my block, and I think matching the casting to the holes in the cover is a simple and maybe beneficial exercise to improve coolant flow.

Could I get a picture of the front of a Cleveland motor with no water pump on it? The pictures of the restrictor plate were great. Is there an opening on the side of the IPSCO block off plate? The stock restrictor plate is a donut, while the IPSCO aluminum plate looks enclosed except for the pinhole. Maybe an angle-shot would show that the side of this blocking plate has an opening in it.
