All,

Many of you - certainly Larry of Cleveland - will remember my famous
off-road adventure in 2511, caused by a loose nut behind the wheel.

I had State Farm insurance at the time - 2002. Prior to obtaining coverage,
I went to my agent and provided to them full copies of all the Quella
invoices from the restoration by the P.O., outlined expected annual mileage
of 5,000-10,000, and provided a professional appraisal with a $45K value.
Told her if the underwriters didn't like any of the information I honestly
provided, then I would go to a specialty insurer. They wrote the policy, and
it was an 'agreed' value.

Eleven months later, the claim process went flawlessly. It got a bit
difficult when none of their or my local leads produced a local repair
facility willing to accept the repair. But in the end, there was never a
balk or question during the repairs. Full car repaint. They even accepted an
additional $1500 for "unseen" damages. Total outlay by State Farm was about
$33K.

No increase in premiums.

No cancellation.

My current annual premium, with $55K coverage, costs me $301.36.

YMMV.

Larry - they treated me just fine
