[DeTomaso] NEW PRODUCT - 351C Fast Water Pump Pulley

Let me apologize in advance for the rant Doug.

The only purpose of a radiator is to lose as much heat as possible.
The way you make a radiator lose as much heat as possible is to move 
heat to it from the engine as quickly as possible.
Moving water through it as quickly as possible lowers the inlet 
temperature and the outlet temperature and engine temperature follows.
There is no such thing as not long enough in the radiator, flow rate is 
everything.
A restrictor plate is used in place of a thermostat to raise an engine's 
temperature.
Seems half the old cars in Florida don't have thermostats or restrictor 
plates.

There are a few things that can happen with no thermostat.
  - The oil temp may not get up high enough for the bearings to develop 
a useful film.
  -  The heater won't.
  - A very worn pump may not collect enough water to prime.
  - Air trapped in the heads seems to sometimes purge better with some 
back-pressure. I have no idea why.
Maybe your Mustang fit one of the last two cases.

Generally I wouldn't run an engine with no thermostat, but I do it all 
the time with electric water pumps.
I just use a speed controller on the pump in place of a thermostat.
