Not much info stat-wise on thr evrnt online.
>From what I can piece together, these vintage races are 2 hours long, they
use the 8.48 mile/13.65 k course. 1972 championship lap avg speeds were in
the 138 range.
So is it safe to assume that
130 mph is an avg now for people who do care if their car is damaged?
2 hours at 130 = 260 miles
Divided by 6 mpg = 44ish gallons.
Do you make a single refueling stop? Just one?
So 22-23 gallons onboard?

23 gallons = 150 lbs.

Or 2 fuel stops with a 15 gallon cell?

15 gallons = 98 lbs.

Is this about right?

The size that you need is
About 23 or 15 gallons?

1 cubic foot = 7.5 gallons

So you need either 2 or 3 cubic feet of of fuel cell capacity.

I think between the area in the boot not used by the brake systems and the
battery that 2 would be easy to achieve. 3 might require a secondary cell
location.
