[DeTomaso] 3503 at a Costa Mesa dealer

What makes you say it is pretty heavily modified?
Except for the exhaust system and fabric inserts in the seats it looks pretty stock to me-- looks like an honest car and gives the impression it was cared for by the previous owner.
But that air filter is probably too small for the engine displacement.

Does anyone on the list know this car - looks to be pretty heavily modified,
yet retain a stock external appearance?

161 and on a dealers site -

pictures.

I begin to get the idea that when headers are installed it is not uncommon
to end up with the pipes being dinged by either the sway bar or the stub
shafts - is this a cause for concern?

And, back to the headers, it looks like there is a stub with a flange welded
onto the exhaust pipe - normal, or sign that the guy making up the exhaust
system used an old flange?

Good news is there are a lot of pictures. Bad news is that I really don't
know that much. Any comments on things that you more knowledgeable types
spot?

Stephen Nelson
