The Sandhills Open Road Challenge (SORC) is in two weeks. Due to the
extreme popularity of this race and the limited number of participants
allowed, Team Pantera Racing only managed to secure -one- grid position
this year. Bob (Rowdy) Radefeld will be representing us with his
Pantera taking on the challenge. Supporting him this year will be Bob's
son, and Frank (the Godfather). We wish him the best of luck.

The Silver State Classic Challenge (SSCC) coming up this September will
have five Veteran Team Pantera Racing members in attendance:

- Dennis "Mad Dawg" Antenucci: after a hiatus in the spring, Dennis is
returning to fend off all challengers for the $10,000 TPR Challenge
prize purse.

- John "JB" Bentley: Whether he brings the rolling TPR headquarters
this year or not, John plans to give Dennis a run for his money.

- Rich "Silver Bullet" Hoppe: After resurrecting the Round Table Pizza
race Pantera what should one do? RACE IT of course; Rich will be
returning with his awesome Pantera to make sure Mad Dawg doesn't get
away with anything. Maybe this year we can get some good video of it.

- Mark "The Professor" Skwarek: Trying for a double-run this year on
highway 318, Mark is overcoming a new challenge by rebuilding his engine
and driving all the way out to Ely/Las Vegas -again-. (and some people
talk down about driving to San Diego).

- Asa Jay "AJ" Laughton: After a good rookie year, Asa plans to run
this year in a higher speed class, creeping up on Mad Dawg slowly, but
intently.

... and we've had interest from a couple of other new folks that might
come out with their Panteras.

Team Pantera Racing would love to see even more Panteras come out and
take on the course, or show support. It's really quite simple, just
contact any TPR member, or go to the web site for more details.

Just remember, paraphrasing the immortal words for Curt Toumanian...
... based on the numbers manufactured, if only ONE Pantera shows up to
this race, over 500 Corvettes would have to, but they don't.

Which enthusiastic owners would -you- rather hang out with?

And as Tony Harvey would say
"Use your car for what it was intended, DRIVE IT"
