I'm less generous in my opinion of this article-- sounds like all the usual anti-Pantera propaganda to me.
When your goal is to write an entertaining article, facts and objectivity take a second place.

Pretty much all the negative things he says about the Pantera could have been said about the Ferrari Boxer too, (and let's not even talk about what happens if you get out of the throttle in a corner in a Porsche 911) but it would be sacrilege to say them and any magazine that did would risk losing its reputation.

But "everyone" knows the Pantera had / has lots of problems, so the magazines keep parroting the same old story. (No, you don't need to fit Brembo brakes or an alu radiator to fix those problems.)

The only good thing about this anti-Pantera group think on the part of the ignorant masses is that it keeps prices low for those of us who love them.

Panteras can appeal to any sort of enthusiast. They have the refinement of
an Italian sports car and brute force of an American muscle car. The whole
concept <http://classicmotorsports.net/articles/detomaso-pantera/> is a
good one, but unfortunately many have now been lost to neglect and
corrosion. This particular 1972 example is being offered by the sibling of
a recently deceased brother. It was 1 of 3 Panteras that they owned and
they had this one since the 80s. It needs work, but is definitely worth
saving. Find it here on
eBay<http://www.barnfinds.com/ebay.php?id=221252801192>out of
